05 — About Calm Publika
"Calm" is the point — not the pace of a press release, the pace of a careful reader.
Calm Publika is a small, editorially-led open-access publisher based in Indonesia. We started with one law journal and are deliberately adding titles, proceedings volumes and books one at a time — each with its own editorial board and scope — rather than launching a wide catalogue and thinning our review standards to fill it.
Every journal, proceedings volume and book we publish shares one publisher-wide commitment: an outcome decided by the argument, reviewed by people qualified to judge it, on a timeline that respects both the author's work and the reviewer's. The platform behind all of this — Docket — is the same one we now offer other presses.
